Today's Announcements

The Youth Against Cancer meeting regularly scheduled for Monday will be held on Wednesday, April 5th at 2:30 in Room 111. We will be preparing for the “Cream a Teacher” fundraiser for the St. Judes’s Cancer Research. Please try to attend. Refreshments will be served.


Those students taking the SAT this Saturday at Iroquois High School, are reminded to arrive by 7:30am with your picture ID, two #2 pencils, a calculator AND your admission slip which you should have received in the mail or printed out if you registered online.


Student Congress is sponsoring an All School Talent Show on Friday, May 19th in the evening. The rules for participation and auditions are posted in the showcase outside the Auditorium. Anyone in our school may audition. Auditions will be held in the Monday we return from Easter vacation – April 24th. Start practicing !!!

Attention Key Club members… Our mandatory visit to the Erie County Home is next week Wed. April 5 from 6 to 7pm. Stop in room 116 and sign up with a partner. You need to select the residents you’re going to visit.

Help make a difference in the life of a less fortunate person today. Please bring in any extra clothing / canned goods / toiletries to the HS cafeteria to make our drive for the St. Luke’s mission a success.

Reminder: Kaman’s Art Shops will be in the cafeteria today during lunches to demonstrate caricature sketching and portrait sketching and to discuss the various jobs available with their company.

Students who went to New York City give your trip photos to Mr. Visciano and he will scan them into a special DVD.

Today in all lunches there will be a continued donation for saving the whales. So win a pizza + save a whale!!

Grease DVS’ may be picked up from Mr. Visciano at T.V studio during Advisement, 3A or 3B. If you did not order one you may still do so. See Mr. V.

Help Alden High School celebrate National Library Week starting Monday April 3rd through Friday, April 7th.
For every book you read since September of this year, you may enter that many raffle tickets. All you have to do is answer a few short questions to prove you have read the book. You may even use books you read for English class!
See Mrs. Sobol or Mrs. Williamson for the question form and be sure to turn the complete form back in by Friday, April 7th to be entered into the raffle! The drawing for the gift basket will take place on Monday, April 10th and the winner will be announced during advisement. Good Luck!

Todays Announcements

Although days are getting warmer, nights are still cold for those on the streets. Help make a difference in the lives of the homeless by donating any extra clothing, canned goods, or toiletries to the St. Luke’s Mission Drive. Items are being collected in the high school cafeteria. Thank you!


In all lunches today donations will be collected in the front of the cafeteria for saving endangered whales in our oceans. Prizes will be given for the top ten donators and recognition will be shown for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade in whichever class raises the most.

We are scheduled to leave at 2:30 on Tuesday. If you have not yet turned in your permission slip you may still do so.

Boy’s tennis practice will be cancelled today.

Any juniors going on the college fair field trip please remember to bring money-you will be stopping for lunch.

Don’t forget the career fair this Thursday at Erie 1 boces in West Seneca. There will be over 160 career reps present to answer your questions about almost any career you can imagine. The fair runs from 7-9 pm and admission is free. Ask any of your teachers to see the list of all careers that will be there and be sure to ask them about getting extra credit. KISS 98.5 will be there with their prize wheel. If you have questions come to guidance.
