Today's Announcements

This is the last call for all brink orders. Our order will be placed this Friday. Get your order forms and money to Mr. Bauer by Friday.



Attention French Club members who are interested in the trip to France next year. Please come during advisement to see Madame Dimming TODAY in Room 115.



Anyone who signed up to volunteer for the 5k Race for Scholarships needs to attend a meeting on Monday June 12th in the gym at 2:30. If you cannot attend, please see Mr. Helmicki before Monday.



The New York State DMV 5-Hour pre-licensing class for ALL permit holders wishing to make a road test appointment will be held at St. Mary’s high School on Tuesday, June 13th, from 3:00pm –8:00pm. The class will be taught in the Room 214. Pre-register by calling the Development Office at 683-4842 ext. 28 or 838-1869. The fee for the class is $30. The 5-hour Certificate will be issued immediately at the conclusion of the class so students must bring their learners permit to class.
Walk-ins are welcome but class size is limited.



Important Notice to all FOP members: the end-of-the-year picnic scheduled for today has been cancelled. A new date has not yet been determined.



There will be a meeting on Wednesday June 7th @ 2:35 in the pool for all girls Interested in the Varsity girls swim Team.

Today's Announcements

Wednesday, May 31st, at 2:30 in Room 121.



All girls interested in trying out for Varsity Cheerleading. Mandatory practices are all this week in the gym starting at 3.



Attention Senior Class officers: There will be a class night update meeting on Monday! Please make sure your caught up on your committee.



All FOP members must repoint affair school today for our final club meeting Elections for next year’s officers will occur.




Anyone who still has a cheerleading uniform, please bring it to Mr. Brenner’s officer as soon as possible.



Yearbooks will be distributed during advisement this week. Anyone wanting to buy a yearbook may bring a check for $68 to the main office.




Attention seniors:
The Alden Christian Theatre Society is offering a $250 scholarship to a student planning to major or minor in the performing arts field. Applications are available in Guidance. Deadline is June 12th.

Today's Announcements

Reminder to all seniors- turn in your local Scholarship Applications to Guidance as soon a possible. Deadline is next Tuesday May 30th.



All Track Members not going to ECIC or Sectionals must turn in their uniforms by Friday if not you will be billed.
Track members are needed to work Friday & Saturday selling food see Mr. Carll ASAP.


The last you the to Youth meeting is on Thursday, May 25th after school in Room 125. Any student interested in running for an office is asked to sign up by the close of school on Wed. Youth to youth officers and next years calendar will be the discussion topics.



Alden High School would lick to host its first annual car show. If you have an older car and you would like to bring in and show for a day, you must attend a meeting Wednesday, May 31st, at 2:30 in Room 121.


Catch Sabres Fever!! Support your hometown team and wear your Sabres shirts and Jerseys this Friday!


Any students who would like to retake a Regents exam in June should sign up in Guidance.

Today's Announcements

Attention All Students: interested in receiving a text message from Brandon on Prom night? See your advisement teacher for the information. Let’s show Brandon how much his visit meant to us. Anyone who shows a text message form Brandon on Prom night to Mrs. Petro will receive a surprise.


Attention French Club members: Anyone interested in participation in the French Club trip to London + Paris in 2007 should see Madame Dimming today. There will be parent meeting on Thursday, May 25 @ 7:00 in Room 115. Please pick up the information today.

Our 1st Annual Evening talent show will be held tonight at 7:30. Tickets are being sold in all lunches today and will be avalible at the door.

Today's Announcements

The next 5-Hour Pre-licensing course will be held on Tuesday, May 23-, from 4:30 – 10:00 pm in Room 112. The cost of the class is $22.00. Each person applying for a new drivers license is required to qualify for the MV278 Certified by successfully completing this five-hour course. Students must pre-register and pre-pay for this class by Friday, May 5 and must be allowed to enter the class. You may call extension 4158 for more information or sign up in the high school office. The class will be offered again in October.



Beginning tomorrow there will be no more charging allowed at the cafeteria, all charges that are negative need to be paid up as soon as possible.





Reminder to all HELP members – Our end of the yea banquet is Wednesday May 17th. All drivers + students who are attending should meet in the front foyer at 3:15. Also if you have not yet paid for the dinner your money is overdue – Get it in NOW!



The Cultural Diversity Club meeting has been changed from Tuesday to Wednesday this week!

Today's Announcements

Attention Football Players. There will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday May 9th at 2:35pm in the upstairs study hall. Topics include physicals & the summer schedule. Anyone interested in playing next year should attend.

Attention all ninth and tenth graders:HELP is now recruiting for next year. If you want to join HELP you must apply by next Friday, May 5. HELP members attend a summer leadership camp at no cost to you or you family to you or your family. All students interested should pick up an application you will be scheduled for an interview. All decisions will be made by the end of May.




Attention All Juniors and Seniors:Prom tickets will go on sale this Friday, May 5 during advisement in the art room. The price of the ticket is $55.00. All seating is reserved on a first come, first serve basis, and all financial obligations to the school must be met before you are able to purchase your ticket.Tickets will be on sale Monday, May 15.If you have any questions, please see Mrs. K.





Did you order your 2006 Yearbook yet? From May 1st-12th only you may hand in to the Main Office: Checks for $66.00 made out to: Alden HS Yearbook (NO cash!). Put in a sealed envelope labeled with: Name, Advisement Room, Grade, and Yearbook.





Hey Alden,
The Cultural Diversity Club is sponsering an “Afternoon at the Movies” next Tuesday, may 9th from 3-5pm featuring the academy-award winning movie “Crash”. Because of the “R” rating, all students wil need a signed permission form. Please sign up in the guidence office if you are interested.



Reminder: Be a leader. If you find yourself in a uncomfortable situation where you are in the middle of gossip – stand up for yourself and those who are unable to speak up. The only way to change a community is to step up + be a leader.

Whether teacher, student, parent, classmate, or friend gossip hurts. Be a leader – stop the gossip.



All girls interested in cheerleading this fall must attend a mandatory meeting after school at 2:30 on Thursday May 4th in the cafeteria. Any questions please see miss haefner.


Any students who are interested in a job as a certified Nursing assistant at Brothers of mercy should sign up in the Guidance office.



Jr. Varsity baseball- No practice today. Bus will leave at 3:15 Friday.


The Theater Club Play begins tonight at 7:30. Tickets will be sold at the door for $3. Come and enjoy the 3 one act comedies.



Attention College bound Juniors and Seniors. ECC is offering a summer College courses and earn credits in several areas. Credits are transferable to all SUNY colleges and most 2 and 4 year colleges. Get details in the Guidence Office.



The Varsity Softball Team won yesterday defeating Eden 20 to 2. The Lady Bulldogs record is now 12 wins to 1 loss on the season. The team jumped out to a 7 to 0 lead after 2 innings yesterday and never looked back. The lady bulldogs are currently in the 1st place. They host Vill Maria today.
