Did you know that cigarette smoke contains over 4,800 chemicals, 69 of which are known to cause cancer???

In one cigarette nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, ammonia, hydrogen cyanide, arsenic and DDT can be found.

One in two smokers will die from their habit, losing an average of 15 years of life.

1,200 Americans die every day from tobacco use.

Today is National Kick Butts Day!

It’s a nation-wide effort to get cigarette smokers to kick the tobacco habit.

Here at Alden, we are challenging smokers to kick butts and offering amnesty and a reward to anyone who throws their cigarettes and/or lighters. There is a table set up in the hallway outside the cafeteria. Stop down to check it out!
