Attention all ninth and tenth graders:HELP is now recruiting for next year. If you want to join HELP you must apply by next Friday, May 5. HELP members attend a summer leadership camp at no cost to you or you family to you or your family. All students interested should pick up an application you will be scheduled for an interview. All decisions will be made by the end of May.


Attention All Juniors and Seniors:Prom tickets will go on sale this Friday, May 5 during advisement in the art room. The price of the ticket is $55.00. All seating is reserved on a first come, first serve basis, and all financial obligations to the school must be met before you are able to purchase your ticket.Tickets will be on sale Monday, May 15.If you have any questions, please see Mrs. K.



Want to be an Animal veterinarian? Well sign up in the Library for this Friday’s discussions with Jenny G, a vet from Alden.



Did you order your 2006 Yearbook yet? From May 1st-12th only you may hand in to the Main Office: Checks for $66.00 made out to: Alden HS Yearbook (NO cash!). Put in a sealed envelope labeled with: Name, Advisement Room, Grade, and Yearbook.



Attention Football Players. There will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday May 9th at 2:35pm in the upstairs study hall. Topics include physicals & the summer schedule. Anyone interested in playing next year should attend.



Just a reminder that the bus for Varsity Softball and Baseball leaves for Eden at 2:45pm today.



Track Practice is immediately after school today at 2:30. Athletes should be dressed, warmed up and ready to run that workout at 3:00 so we can finish before the modified track meet. Also check the line-up for the Batavia Invitational this Saturday to see if you are going. If you have a question you can come see Mr. Carll.


Any seniors who did not attend Monday’s class meeting should pick up their scholarship booklets in Guidance.



Need a laugh? Then you should attend the Theater club play this Thursday and Friday at 7:30pm. Tickets are $3. See you there.




Any students who are interested in a job as a certified Nursing assistant at Brothers of mercy should sign up in the Guidance office.



The next 5-Hour Pre-licensing course will be held on Tuesday, May 9, from 4:30 – 10:00 pm in Room 112. The cost of the class is $22.00. Each person applying for a new drivers license is required to qualify for the MV278 Certified by successfully completing this five-hour course. Students must pre-register and pre-pay for this class by Friday, May 5 and must be allowed to enter the class. You may call extension 4158 for more information or sign up in the high school office. The class will be offered again May 23.



Reminder: A representative from NY Air International Guard will be in the guidance office conference room during advisement today. Interested seniors and juniors should secure a pass from their teacher or Guidance.



Attention all help members the Banquet at Salvatore’s is may 17th and costs $5.00. If you plan to go you must let Mrs. Delzer or Mrs. Kosinski know today. The money is due this Friday. All seniors should go. Right now 15 members are signed up. Let’s try to get everyone to go. Remember Salvatore’s Wed. May 17th.

· You need to pick up your pre participation physical evaluation form n advisement or the main office.
· You need to take this form home, have your parent’s fill it out and sign it.
· This form will be in the main office by Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Sport physical will not be given without this form completed.
· If you miss the scheduled physical dates, it will cost $35.00 to get a sport physical.
